Dubai is prepared to host the highly-anticipated 2023 PrecisionMed Exhibition & Summit (PMES) on 23-24 May at the Dubai World Trade Centre. PMES 2023, regarded as the pre-eminent event for advancements in precision medicine in the Middle East, brings together an influential gathering of healthcare pioneers. Fostering an environment conducive to collaborative knowledge sharing, the event places a strong emphasis on the practical application of precision medicine and its clinical adoption. Attendees can look forward to dynamic dialogues, enlightening presentations, and immersive exhibits highlighting the latest innovations in precision medicine.

PMES 2023 is supported generously by several key UAE entities, including the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT), Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP), Department of Health (DoH) Abu Dhabi, and the Dubai Health Authority (DHA). In 2022, the global market was valued at about US$73.5 billion; by 2030, we will exceed US$175 billion which underscores the potential in these markets for genetic screening.

In addition to a rich exploration of precision medicine, the PMES 2023 Summit will provide a robust platform for discussions around personalized healthcare. Aisha Al Mulla, Director of Friends of Cancer Patients, advocates for the integration of personalized and precision medicine, citing its potential to improve diagnostic techniques, drug therapy, and overall health outcomes. Presentations and debates at the summit will delve into the practical implementation of genetics and genome-based systems, pushing the frontiers of healthcare towards more personalized solutions to manage and combat disease.

These include Sarah Al Amiri, Minister of State for Public Education and Advanced Technology; Dr. Asma Al Mannaei, Executive Director Research and Innovation Centre at DoH Abu Dhabi; Dr. Yendry Ventura, CEO of Abu Dhabi Stem Cells Centre, and many others. In addition, international guests will also feature, including Dr. Jun Takahashi, Director and Professor of the Centre for iPS Cell Research and Application (CiRA) at Kyoto University; Dr. Masayo Takahashi, President of Vision Care, Japan; and Dr. Imane Boudellioua, Assistant Professor in the Information and Computer Science Department at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, KSA, amongst others.
